Butcher/Freezer Paper

Butcher and freezer wraps are special FDA approved food grade papers used in the meat packing industry.

Butcher paper is an uncoated grade that is manufactured to have properties that prevent blood and moisture from soaking through the sheet. Typical basis weight of butcher paper is 40#.

Freezer paper (sometimes known as Locker paper) is a poly-coated grade that adds a certain amount of polyethylene to one side of the paper to prevent any moisture transfer through the paper. Many different grades of freezer paper are available.

Butcher and Freezer paper is available in rolls and sheets.
